BOTOX®

BOTOX® Cosmetic, or botulinum toxin type A, is a protein commonly used to non-surgically reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. The injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the skin a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® Cosmetic may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.

Collagen

Collagen is a naturally occurring protein found in the second layer of skin (the dermis) which “plumps up” the skin, joints, bones and ligaments. Injections counteract the effects of gravity, sun exposure and years of facial muscle movement by filling out sunken areas and smoothing lines for a rejuvenated look. It is also commonly used for lip augmentation.  Results may begin to fade in a few months, depending on the patient’s age, genetic background, skin quality, lifestyle and body site.

Hylaform

Hylaform® or hylan B gel is FDA-approved to temporarily reduce minor lines and wrinkles on the face by adding volume to the skin. Hylaform is made with purified hyaluronic acid, a sugar found naturally in the body that works with collagen to keep the skin smooth and supple. Frequently treated areas are the nasolabial (smile) lines, vertical lip lines, frown lines between the eyes, and marionette lines. No pre-treatment skin test is necessary. Treatments are quick and painless, and results are natural-looking and immediately visible.

Restylane

Restylane is designed to smoothe wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. Approved by the FDA, Restylane is a clear transparent gel composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. This acid is not of animal or human origin, which means that there is no risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for a Restylane treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth).

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing, commonly called a laser peel, removes the outer, often damaged layer of skin for a smoother, younger look. Laser resurfacing can reduce the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, uneven pigmentation and superficial scarring, usually on the face.

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion removes a layer of surface skin to improve the appearance of facial scarring, uneven pigmentation, wrinkles, sun damage, tattoos, age spots and certain kinds of skin lesions. The skin is anesthetized and then abraded with a high-speed rotary instrument for a dramatically smoother, fresher look.
